This growing archive brings together the major known letters and correspondence preserved by Fondation Jacques Stephen Alexis, USA Inc., including unpublished material that will be presented progressively from original French sources whenever available.

A humanistic letter and manifesto addressed beyond the private sphere, centered on human dignity, solidarity and confidence in humanity.

A major cultural letter addressed to painters. The Foundation will add the verified date, archival source and original facsimile after catalog review.
Known Letter 4
Letter to François Duvalier

The original letter was written in French. The archive will prioritize the original French text and, where appropriate, provide a transcription and translation as separate layers.
External English translation credited by Marxists Internet Archive to Mitchell Abidor. JakSoley.org will not treat that translation as a substitute for the original French archival text.

Archival Method
Original first. Translation second.
Where an original French letter survives, JakSoley.org will present the archival image and French transcription as the primary record. Any English translation will be clearly identified as a translation and credited to its translator or source. Dates, recipients, provenance and publication history will be verified before being stated as fact.
