Jacques Stephen Alexis wrote as a novelist, physician, intellectual, political actor and Haitian citizen. This growing archive brings together the major known letters and correspondence preserved by Fondation Jacques Stephen Alexis, USA Inc., including unpublished material that will be presented progressively from original French sources whenever available.
These four known texts form the featured correspondence collection. Original French sources will remain the primary archival record whenever available. Facsimiles, verified transcriptions and translations will be added progressively.
